The Barnabas Base

In Christian tradition, Barnabas was known as a devout follower of Christ Jesus; his name means "son of encouragement". I hope this blog is encouraging. It is mainly a reflection point about my journey with Christ, what he has been teaching me lately, and how that is manifested in a normal, frenetic, 21st century lifestyle.

Here are the Sloan boys rockin’ tuxedos at brother-in-law Justin’s wedding three weeks ago.  A great time and an amazing wedding that gave God all the glory!

I am 37 years old. I'm married to an amazing woman and we are blessed by God to have two little boys. I'm a teacher who teaches students before subjects, an aspiring world traveller who has been to seven countries and counting, a sports freak who refuses to subscribe to cable tv, a descendant of William Wallace (okay, that last one is a bit of a stretch).
